Who Are We?
Allied Contract Solutions Ltd is managed by Director Ian McBlain and his assembled team.
Ian has extensive experience in business management and in the delivery of customer focused construction services. He brings a wealth of experience in operational management, successfully introducing new methods of working linked to performance management systems.
Ian also has previous experience of working in social enterprise with a Glasgow based Community Enterprise, as Senior Operations Manager he transformed their trading division from a failing all trades business to a sustainable community business allowing them to achieve their social mission of providing more training and long term employment within their local area.
Since 2010 Ian has worked as an associate operational consultant for a number of national housing consultancies and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He has been involved in reviewing Direct Labour Organisations for Housing Associations and Councils throughout the UK to ascertain their ability to produce value for money for their clients and tenants. This has involved taking up senior interim management positions, to drive the implementation of their change management strategy and produce a value for money ethos.
Allied Contract Solutions (ACS) is a Social Enterprise trades company that creates sustainable employment and training opportunities for disadvantaged people within the West of Scotland area. Our aim is to provide jobs for people wishing to enter the construction industry or other associated industries. Our three main beneficiary groups are Refugees, Unemployed Graduates and people experiencing homelessness.
